Sorry I wasn't there when you needed me. I'm sorry I didn't try to make things better for you. I'm sorry I ignored your pleads and thought you would get over everything. I'm sorry I wasn't there to walk you through those painful days.

But I'm glad to know that you are now in somewhere better, away from all the pain and suffering you had to go through. Somewhere where no amount of booze will get you to. Somewhere where you'll finally be happy.

The times we've spent together, though short, would always be etched deep in my memory.
